Bakwan udang

Le Bakwan Udang sono frittelline di verdure e gamberi, molto popolari in Indonesia.
Potete mangiare le Bakwan Udang come snack o come contorno per una portata principale.

Tempo di preparazione: 40 minuti

Porzioni: 4 persone

Ingredienti:
250 gr di farina
1 uovo
150 gr di gamberi
100 gr di cavolo cappuccio
1 carota grande
1 cipollotto
2 spicchi di aglio
300 ml di acqua fredda
Sale e pepe
Olio per friggere

Preparazione
Tagliate le carote ed il cavolo cappuccio a Julienne.
Sminuzzate l’aglio e tagliate il cipollotto finemente.
Sgusciate i gamberi ed eliminate l’intestino (il filo nero sul dorso).

In una ciotola capiente, unite le verdure, l’aglio ed il cipollotto, la farina, l’uovo, sale e pepe.
Mischiate per bene, in modo da far amalgamare gli ingredienti.

Versate a mano a mano l’acqua fredda a filo, mischiando il composto fino ad ottenere una pastella densa.

Mettete a scaldare abbondante olio da frittura in una capiente padella.
Quando l’olio è caldo, prendete una bella cucchiaiata di pastella e, poco prima di versarla nell’olio bollente, adagiate in cima un gambero, pressando un pochino in modo da farlo aderire alla pastella.
Cominciate a friggere le Bakwan Udang fino a quando saranno ben dorate.

Ottime da accompagnare con una salsina piccante come il Sambal Oelek.
