Il Chana Masala è uno dei piatti indiani più popolari in India, molto semplice da cucinare se volete prepararlo a casa.

Inoltre il Chana Masala è un piatto senza glutine ed adatto anche a chi segue una dieta vegana.

Il piatto è una semplice ma vincente combinazione di ceci bolliti, spezie e salsa masala (salsa di cipolla e pomodoro con spezie)
Vi consiglio, se avete tempo, di preparare il Chana Masala utilizzando i ceci secchi da mettere in ammollo dalla notte precedente.
Se non avete tempo, potete usare anche i ceci in scatola, anche se il sapore e la consistenza finale risulteranno leggermente diversi.

Tempo di preparazione: 45 minuti

Porzioni: 4 persone

Ingredienti:
100 grammi di ceci secchi
Salsa base Masala curry per due persone
acqua Q.B.
un pizzico di sale
un pomodoro
un cucchiaino di succo di limone

Preparazione
Lasciare i ceci in ammollo per tutta la notte in acqua fredda.
Il giorno dopo scolarli e sciacquarli per bene.

Bollire i ceci fino a quando saranno teneri, aggiungendo un pizzico di bicarbonato che velocizza la cottura.
Conservate l’acqua con cui avrete cotto i ceci, vi servirà successivamente.
Se utilizzi i ceci in scatola, puoi saltare direttamente al passaggio successivo..

Versate due cucchiai d’olio in una padella e scaldate la salsa masala curry, aggiungete il pomodoro tagliato a dadini e cuocere per un paio di minuti.

Aggiungete i ceci bolliti insieme ad un po’ di acqua di cottura, abbassate il fuoco e lasciate sobbollire per 10-15 minuti.

Il Chana Masala è pronto da servire.
A vostro gusto, potrete aggiungere una spruzzata di succo di limone e del coriandolo o prezzemolo tritato.
